About the Role
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer and T-Shirt Screen Printer who will be responsible for creating eye-catching designs and translating them onto apparel through screen printing. The ideal candidate will have a strong artistic sensibility, technical screen printing skills, and the ability to work collaboratively to meet design objectives and production deadlines.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
Design Creation: Develop and create unique and engaging graphic designs for a range of apparel, including t-shirts, sweatshirts, and other promotional items.
Pre-Press Preparation: Prepare and set up designs for screen printing, including color separation, screen burning, and test prints.
Screen Printing: Operate manual and/or automatic screen printing machines, ensuring high-quality print output, color accuracy, and consistency.
Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks throughout the printing process to ensure the final product meets or exceeds client expectations.
Collaboration: Work closely with the design and production teams to brainstorm ideas, troubleshoot issues, and refine processes.
Project Management: Manage multiple projects from conception through completion, adhering to deadlines and budget constraints.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on screen printing equipment to ensure optimal operation.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in graphic design and screen printing.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) and a solid understanding of screen printing techniques and processes.
Creativity: Strong artistic skills with an eye for color, composition, and design trends.
Attention to Detail: High attention to detail with a focus on quality and precision in all aspects of design and print production.
Time Management: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and client interactions.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed in a print shop environment.

About the Company
Lost Angels Children's Project (LACP) is a non-profit organization that serves disadvantaged youth through innovative vocational training, social enterprise, and traditional outreach programs. The LACP Work Program serves transitional aged youth from 18-24 years old. Our program participants (students) learn classic car repair and shop skills in a hands-on training program where they develop and immediately apply their skills towards classic car restoration. The program teaches highly transferable skills designed to help students obtain careers in aeronautics, aerospace, automotive, and manufacturing industries.
